Pushing Daisies – RIP

Well shoot. I just read an article that stated ABC has cancelled Pushing Daisies. Why do all the great shows get cancelled and all the crap stays on TV?

NaBloPoMo NoGo

So I made an attempt at NaBloPoMo, but I fell asleep last night before I was able to post. I was all ready to post about how I left the kitchen sink running all night. Good times.

To all you participants of NaBloPoMo, rock on and happy posting!

Back in June, my coworker told me that a friend of hers had found 2 kittens. I told her that if she couldn’t find a home for them, that I would take them. I also let her know that I have two large dogs. I would keep the babies separate from the dogs, but if she found a home for them, all the better.

No home found. Just mine. I was so excited. I met my friend’s friend and she gave me the kitties. When I got home with them the girls were VERY interested in them. Of course. What kind of dogs would they be if they didn’t get worked up over the new smells coming from the case I was carrying into the house?

So, for the last 4 months, the kitties have lived in my 3rd bedroom. Outside the room time every day while the dogs were outside. This became very old and unfair to the fast growing kitties. I had also gotten tired of being asked by my mom and neighbors if I had introduced dogs and cats yet. The answer continued to be no.

So at the end of September I had had enough and decided that the day for integration had come. To say that it went smoothly is a total understatement. The girls could have cared less about the cats. The dogs are not sure of the cats, but haven’t been aggressive at all towards the kitties. Yay!

So I had to work today. Blargh. Moved our users to a new building and had to go in and hook up everyone’s computer equipment. Not too bad, only took a couple of hours.

The rest of the day has been a bust. Did a whole bunch of nothing. I plan on actually cooking dinner tonight. Maybe watch a movie. Too fun, aren’t I?

Hope everyone has a great Saturday!

Busy, Busy

So very busy.  Moving users at work today for the move this afternoon.  then, back to work in the morning to hook all the peoples back up!  Hope everyone has a great friday!

I am so happy with America’s choice of our next chief executive.  I have supported this candidate from the primary in my state and before.  My neighbor is aware of my choice.  I have a Women for Obama sticker on my car, I don’t know how much more blatant my support can be.

My neighbor has started to send me offensive (to me) joke emails regarding the choice of Obama as president.  Rather than email a cease and desist to her I am going to ask her face to face to please stop.   She will think I am crazy, because “they are just funny.  How can I possibly be offended?”   They are not funny and some of them are racist in nature.   Not good.

Why won’t the naysayers give him a chance?

Super Tuesday

Hope everyone is having a super Super Tuesday!  I hit the polls at 6:40a for a 7:00a opening.  I was in, voted and back out to my car at 7:58.  Overall, a fine experience.

Happy Birthday!

14 years.  Full blown adolescence.  He has had a year to get it down right.  Boy, is he ever good at it.

No one could have told me that I would be a single parent, but I kind of knew it when I was pregnant that it would end up just the two of us.

So, for the past 13.5 years it has been you and I.  I know that I yell alot.  I know that you get irritated with me when I ask too many questions.   I know you love  your dogs and that you hate school.   You have a brilliant mind and yet you hate school.  You love your friends and are really coming into your own.  You love your dad and that side of your family.  You love your grandma and grandpa and they so love you.

You have definitely made the last 14 years interesting.  I look forward to the man that you are becoming.

I love you baby.  Very, very much.  Happy birthday.
